The Wedding Coach

It all started when…

One day during my own engagement, I’d just finished the thankless task of finalizing my wedding invitations - including selecting one of at least twenty fonts - when I saw a bride-to-be in tears over the same decision. I had barely kept my cool while picking out my own invites, but I had been able to rely on my training as a psychologist to help me in tricky situations. I realized not everyone had the same tools at their disposal, and that there had to be an easier way to get through the wedding planning process.

And that's how The Wedding Coach was born: with the idea that everyone getting married can benefit from extra help, support, and problem-solving tools as they're planning their wedding, even if they don't need therapy. While I’m a psychologist by training, as a wedding coach, I don’t offer assessment, diagnosis, or treatment for mental illness. Instead, our focus is on the relationship you have with your partner and with yourself, helping you move toward a future that feels better for you.

I use a values-based approach in coaching: I’ve found that by helping clients identify what's most important in the wedding process, it's easier to make decisions of all sizes. I also love helping clients with communication: planning a wedding is like becoming the CEO of your own company, and I encourage my clients to practice being their own best, respectful advocates at all points in the wedding process.
